The Mizu Dojo was a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the practice of the traditional Japanese martial art of Aikido.
Aikido is a non-aggressive, dynamic and free flowing martial art which uses circular and blending movements to redirect, transform and neutralise an attacker’s force. Aikido requires no advantage in strength or size and teaches you to meet conflict with a calm mind.
In addition to providing an effective form of self-defence, Aikido practice develops flexibility, calmness, physical fitness, coordination and self-confidence. A central theme in Aikido training is the coordination of mind and body.
